to tasteadditionalchocolate chips and pecans for topping
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pre-made pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and poke a few holes in the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.
In a mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well blended.
Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking after each addition until smooth. Stir in the salt.
Gently fold in the chopped pecans and semi-sweet chocolate chips, mixing until evenly combined.
Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, and sprinkle additional chocolate chips and pecans on top for extra flair.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes, or until the pie is set in the center and the edges are lightly browned.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack for at least 1 hour before serving. This will help the filling to set further.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a delightful contrast.
